Super Junior won 3 GOLD Record Awards in the Philippines

Super Junior proved that they are the #1 K-pop artist in the Philippines. They earned 3 Gold record awards for Sorry Sorry, Bonamana, and Mr. Simple.

On February 25, Philippine ELFs held 2 separate events for the launching of SS3 DVD. They all gathered to share the happiness of winning the awards and also reminisce the most memorable moments of SS3 Manila a year ago. They played games and even raffled 20 individual Super Junior portraits! It was definitely a fun and memorable day for PhELFs.
They all tweeted Super Junior members about the awards right after the events and the first one to see this was Siwon!

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk & Donghae to release “Oppa, Oppa” in Japan

After sweeping hearts in Korea with their funky single, ‘Oppa Has Arrived‘, Super Junior‘s Eunhyukand Donghae will aim to do the same thing in Japan come April. According to Super Junior’s official Japanese site, ‘Oppa Has Arrived’ will be released on April 4th in Japan under the title, ‘Oppa, Oppa‘. The unit performed this song for the first time during their world tour, ‘Super Show 4′, back in November of last year, and even promoted the track through music programs briefly. With its retro-disco vibe and entertaining lyrics, the song is bound to get fans in Japan to scream “Oppa Oppa” as well. In related news, Super Junior will be holding their concert at the Tokyo Dome in May.

Super Junior to release 3rd Japanese single in March

Super Junior is in the midst of their Super Show 4 concert tour and they last released their second Japanese single in December. Now, it seems that they will be releasing a third Japanese single this coming March.
According to Avex Japan, the single seems to be a commemorative CD single with relations to Super Show 4 in Tokyo. The single is untitled right now and not much information can be found, but the agency promises to release new details.

Super Junior is the “album king” of Taiwan

Super Junior has been crowned the “album king” of Taiwan, with their dominance in various charts for 2011.
On 13th January, SM Entertainment revealed that Super Junior’s 5th album “Mr. Simple” and 4th album “BONAMANA” took the number 1 and number 2 spots on the Taiwanese music site KKBOX’s “2011 Annual Kpop Ranking,” for both the singles and albums category.
Super Junior’s title track for their 4th album “BONAMANA” took the number 1 spot on the KKBOX charts for a staggering 63 weeks, a new record in KKBOX history. The title track for their next album “Mr. Simple” also recorded 21 weeks at number 1, and Super Junior has been at the number 1 spot of the charts since June 2010 and has not lost the crown since.
Also, the annual sales chart released by one of Taiwan’s largest record chains also show that “Mr. Simple” is the top selling album in the J-Pop/K-Pop category, while Super Junior’s Chinese sub-unit Super Junior M’s “Perfection” took an impressive second place in the Chinese music category, showing once again that Super Junior’s great popularity in Taiwan.
